I am very pleased to write a review for my brother, Greg Richard, of Remington Architecture, who was the architect on two important renovations to our Garrison style home built in 1941. The first project involved considerable problem solving to convert our small upstairs bathroom and closet area into a much improved functional space with separate vanity/sink area for my husband and me, as well as converting an initially ignored area into a new walk-in closet.
The second project has provided our family with a highly comfortable and utilized space for gathering, dining, reading, and watching TV. Prior to Greg’s design, we had an awkward shaped family room with windows and doors placed hopelessly for proper use of this space.
After thoughtful consultation and insightful exchanges, Greg designed an addition that was sensitive to our home’s age and style, as well as adding many beautiful and tasteful architectural details that separated this all-purpose family room from the ordinary. We continue to receive positive comments from those that experience the space for the first time and our family and friends also continue to enjoy the intimacy this renovation provided.
I found that Greg Richard met deadlines, was responsive to our inquiries, and very professional. During the family room construction there were challenges, such as working around support beams, and he would efficiently design a perfect solution. It was evident that he was determined to create the very best design for our project.
